Hardy Heights: A Serene Private Retreat in Kenya
At The Two Homers, we are proud to showcase one of our most breathtaking projects, Hardy Heights, a luxurious private holiday retreat nestled in the heart of Kenya. This project is a testament to our commitment to designing spaces that seamlessly blend with their natural surroundings while offering the highest level of comfort and elegance.
Vision and Design Philosophy
Hardy Heights is more than just a retreat; it is an immersive experience where architecture meets nature. Enveloped by towering trees and the untouched beauty of the Kenyan landscape, this property was designed to respect and celebrate the environment. The design draws inspiration from the natural world, with open courtyards and thoughtfully aligned axes that invite light and air, blurring the boundaries between indoor and outdoor living.
Masterfully Planned Spaces
The master plan of Hardy Heights is carefully designed to offer both privacy and communal areas for guests to enjoy. The property features a Main House, a Master House, and several guest houses, each with distinct yet cohesive architectural styles. The Main House, with its expansive formal living and dining areas, entertainment spaces, and a rooftop terrace, serves as the heart of the retreat. The Master House offers a more secluded experience, with its private pool, spa, and luxurious living quarters.
Materials That Tell a Story
Every material chosen for Hardy Heights tells a story of Kenya’s rich heritage and natural beauty. From the stone-faced arches and rough-cut stone blocks used in the exteriors to the smooth coral stone feature walls inside, each element is carefully selected to create a sense of place. The use of local materials not only enhances the aesthetic appeal of the property but also supports sustainability by reducing the carbon footprint associated with importing materials.
Luxury Meets Sustainability
At The Two Homers, we believe that luxury and sustainability can go hand in hand. Hardy Heights embodies this philosophy with its use of eco-friendly materials and design practices that minimise environmental impact. The timber used in the doors, floors, and decking is sourced from sustainable forests, while the reed ceilings and polished concrete finishes add an organic touch to the interiors.
Experience Hardy Heights
Hardy Heights is a sanctuary where guests can disconnect from the world and reconnect with nature. Whether lounging by the pool, enjoying a meal in the outdoor dining pergola, or exploring the lush gardens, every moment at Hardy Heights is designed to be an unforgettable experience.
